Brodies Books
Brand identity, Logo design

Objective
Create a complete visual identity for Brodie’s Books, an independent Edinburgh bookshop. Balance literary tradition with a modern, community-focused online presence.
What I've done
1. Developed a full visual identity including logo, typography, and color palette
2. Designed digital and physical brand assets for both the shop and the online store.
3. Created a visual system that bridges tradition with a contemporary café atmosphere.

Creative Process
1. Research & Positioning: Analyzed the shop’s history, audience, and evolving role in the community.
2. Concept Development: Explored themes of warmth, storytelling, and timelessness through visual references and moodboards.
3. Design Execution: Finalized a brand toolkit featuring classic type, warm hues, and friendly layouts adaptable across print and digital.
Results
A cohesive brand identity that connects local charm with a broader, digital audience.
Conclusion
Design can honor tradition while making space for growth and modern connection.
